The City of Edwardsville has entered into a Development Review Agreement with Stan Hoffman and Mathew Librach (dba Lloyd
and Bennett, LLC) to more closely measure the business feasibility of their already strong interest in the Wildey Theatre. The agreement permits "Lloyd and Bennett" an exclusive due diligence period. The due diligence
period will allow Lloyd and Bennett, LLC the opportunity to perform physical inspections and tests, to evaluate engineering and environmental reports, financial studies, utility agreements and zoning requirements among
other typical matters related to due diligence for property acquisition.
A major goal of the project is to ensure renovation of the auditorium – with hopes to resurrect the theatre to once again be a venue for
live performances and classic films. The interest of Lloyd and Bennett, LLC appears to represent exactly what the City has been seeking for the future of the former theatre building.
